A train is a large means of transportation with a large carrying capacity and a relatively high safety factor. In the world, trains are not only the main means of transportation for civilian travel, but also the military use is very important. The track of the train is also divided into wide rail, standard rail, narrow rail, most countries in the world are adopted standard rail, our country is also, why should Russia use wide rail, not the world standard rail?

Then we have to go back to the source of the train, and we all know that the second Industrial Revolution Britain invented the steam engine, which flights from shanghai to seoul used coal and wood as fuel, so it was called the "train ". The concept of standard rails was therefore proposed by the United Kingdom, which is therefore adopted by most countries around the world.

Most of the railway tracks in Russia were inherited from the former Soviet Union, where relations between the Soviet Union and the surrounding countries were tense, and in order to prevent the military invasion of other countries to the maximum extent possible, the Soviet Union adopted a wider rail than the standard rail, which was not the same as the rails of the neighboring countries, so that even if other countries wanted to invade Russia through the railway, it would take at least a few hours to replace the wheels of the entire train with the wheels of the wide rail, so that the Soviet Union would have more time to prepare for it. Like Yan Xishan, a Shanxi warlord in the Republic of China, he specializes in Shanxi  Rails use standards that are different from the rest of the country.

It is also popular in Russia that the size of the tracks dates back to the days of the tsar, when the czar heard that the British had built the cheap flights from shanghai to xian world's first train, in response, saying:" Our country must build bigger and wider ones." The wider tracks also did slow Germany's entry into the Soviet Union during World War II, reopening its path to Moscow. Obviously this is just a legend, it should not be true, in fact, the choice of a wider track, the train on the top will be more safe and stable, so the most important thing is actually for safety considerations.

Our country travels to Russia by train, and it takes several hours to change the wheels at the border to move on. With the development of society and the acceleration of globalization, the standard track should also be a trend, because the standard track is more conducive to communication and cooperation with its countries. What do you think?
