As we all know, Malaysia is an inclusive and multi-ethnic country, in which Chinese account for more than 20% of the country's total population. It can be said that Chinese and Chinese culture have a great influence in Malaysia. Most of the Chinese in Malaysia are Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan who do business in the South Ocean between the Ming Dynasty and the Republic of China, so now tourists from the south of our country come Shanghai to Kaohsiung flight to Malaysia as if they had gone back to their hometown for a long time.

In Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, Chinatown Street, known as Zichang Street, is located in the south of the old urban area. Although the area is small, it brings together the essence of Chinese culture. It is lively every day, and because of the large number of snack stalls, the more exciting the night is.

The whole street is full of shop stalls, no matter when you arrive, it is bustling and lively. The decoration of the street is also very Chinese. The red lanterns hanging high and high, the Chinese characters everywhere on the signboards, and most of the hawkers are mainly Chinese. Speaking Chinese, Cantonese, Hainan, Chaoshan dialect here is no problem. No wonder Chinese tourists say it feels like finding a home on Zichang Street!

The most attractive thing on Zichang Street is that there are many famous old restaurants, Cantonese food, Chaozhou food, Hainan food, as well as Laksha, curry noodles and so on. At the same time, Indian food, Malay food and even western food are very delicious. Known as "Malaysia is a gourmet paradise", but also a good place for Shanghai to Ibaraki flight tourists from all over the world.

Many traditional Chinese cultures are well preserved here. In fact, it feels more like the 1990s in the county seat of China. Everything looks very nostalgic. There are all kinds of teahouses, restaurants, Chinese medicine shops, Chinese language bookstores, small hotels, supermarkets, and so on. Everything reveals the breath of the classic Hong Kong film.

The Spring Festival is the busiest moment in Zichang Street. Every Spring Festival, the lion and dragon dance performances on Zichang Street are always particularly conspicuous. In order to welcome the arrival of the New year, the local Chinese will bring forth new ideas and attract people every year. In foreign countries, we also carry forward the characteristic culture of the Chinese nation.

However, unfortunately, in recent years, the prosperity of Zichang Street seems to be much worse than before, mainly because there are fewer and fewer Chinese here, most of the stalls on the street have been occupied by Indians, and most of the stalls on the street are parallel imports, counterfeit goods and bargains. There are also many pirated CDs, counterfeit designer bags and so on, so that Zichang Street has become a mixture of fish and dragons.

With the increasing relocation of Chinese here, fewer and fewer Chinese live in the old urban area of Kuala Lumpur. Today's Zichang Street is already full of foreign workers, 90% of whom are Indians, Burmese, Bengalis, and so on. This is going to be a Chinatown without Chinatown. However, the local government is eager to retain the Chinese culture and Chinese signboards, after all, it has become a tourism brand. And without the Chinese Zichang Street, will you still go?
